Mile Movement is a website designed to cater to the specific needs of sports enthusiasts, offering a curated collection of high-quality athletic apparel and accessories. Many sports fans struggle to find authentic and affordable branded merchandise for their favorite teams. Traditional retail stores often have limited selections, and online marketplaces can be overwhelming and difficult to navigate. Mile Movement aims to address these challenges by providing a dedicated platform for sports enthusiasts to easily discover and purchase team apparel.

  • Easy Search: A simple and intuitive search function to find specific items.

  • Fast Shipping: Efficient delivery options to ensure customers receive their orders promptly.

    So, to build Mile Movement, I dove deep into the world of sports fans. I wanted to understand what they crave, their habits, and what frustrates them when shopping for team gear. I studied the competition, figuring out what they're doing right and where they're falling short. And to really nail it, I talked directly to potential customers, listening to their needs and figuring out how to make their shopping experience a slam dunk.

    Competitor Platforms and Identifying Patterns

    I analyzed existing online retailers that sell sports merchandise, including Fanatics, Lids, and the official websites of sports teams.

    Strengths:

    • Established Brands: These players have name recognition and brand loyalty from years of operation.
    • Extensive Product Selection: They often offer a vast array of apparel and merchandise.
    • Direct Relationships with Teams: Official team stores might have exclusive offerings or limited-edition items.

    Weaknesses:

    • Navigation Complexity: Some websites can be overwhelming to navigate, making it difficult to find specific team gear.
    • Generic User Experience: They might prioritize showcasing a vast product catalog over a personalized experience for loyal fans.
    • Limited Search Functionality: Finding specific items by team or category could be cumbersome.

    Opportunites:

    • Curated Collections: Instead of overwhelming users with choices, we curate a focused selection of high-quality products for each team.
    • Simple & Intuitive Search: We prioritize an easy-to-use search function, allowing fans to quickly find the jerseys, hats, or accessories they desire.
    • Fan-Centric Design: Our platform is designed with the needs of sports enthusiasts in mind, making it easy to find gear for their favorite teams and express their passion.
